Hoxton Cinema
The long-derelict Gaumant cinema in Hoxton is at long last being brought back into service. Having won planning permission for its renewal, we have designed a new cinema which will recover its familiar, much-loved place in the community with a sparkling new interior behind its existing facade.

The building will provide two cinema screens with generous seating, an event space for hire and private screenings, two cafes and a terrace. Office space above the screens has been designed specifically for local business, thereby helping to promote workspace for small and medium sized enterprises in the heart of Hoxton.

The important place that this cinema has maintained in the heart of the local community has been thoughtfully considered, with the careful renovation of the historic facade. By contrast, the strikingly simple contemporary interior provides a series of inspiring spaces for this soundly modern cinema.
