Mowlem Street
Waugh Thistleton's Mowlem Street building will house commercial units on the ground floor and twelve residential units in the upper storeys. The design consists of two interlocking elements - the lower element takes its height from adjacent terraced houses, and the other cantilevered element is lightweight and clad in timber. The ground floor is recessed to allow for parking at street level. Similarly, the top floor is recessed back from the street, decreasing the proposal?s visual volume.
