Hackney Estate Renewal
Colville Estate in Hackney sits on a gross site area of 4853 hectares. The key aim in our redevelopment proposals for the estates is to introduce a wide mix of tenure in each estate, without reducing the supply of affordable housing, thereby attracting a wide range of income groups to the neighbourhood. This will improve the mix and balance of communities and will promote social integration. Integration will be enhanced by improved connectivity, creation of safer routes to amenities and responding sensitively to the urban context.
