Hearne Street
Waugh Thistleton's proposal for the development on Hearne Street provides over 190,000 sqft of office accommodation and 11,500 sqft of retail space. Located on the fringes of City of London, the development is a 20 storey office tower, designed with one central core and flexible structures to suit a single occupier or multiple tenancies, with two L-shaped low rise office buildings to the outer edge of the site. The positioning of the three buildings on the site forms a loose enclosure of accessible public space. There is a clear relationship between the buildings' materials, scale and proportion with each building responding to its immediate site context, so the resulting composition sympathetically addresses the broader cityscape and its impact on the new skyline.
